Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about registration, waiting lists, and the transition from our Kinderhaus into the Primary School. Question not answered here? Get in touch – we are happy to help personally.
What ages and grades does Mea Semita cover?
Mea Semita accompanies children from age 2.5 through the end of grade 6 in one continuous Montessori journey. Our Kinderhaus (from age 2.5 until school entry) can be found at measemita.ch, while our Montessori Primary School (grades 1-6) is on this website.
How does the registration process work?
In 6 steps: you contact our administration, we schedule a personal consultation and school tour, your child spends individual trial days with us, you submit the official registration paperwork, we finalize a school contract, and you become part of our parent community. Full details are on our Registration page.
How early should we register? Is there a waiting list?
We allocate places on a first-come, first-served basis, and spots tend to fill up relatively quickly. We recommend reaching out early and scheduling a visit, even if your desired start date is still some way off.
My child already attends the Kinderhaus (measemita.ch) - how does the transition to the Primary School work?
Children coming from our Kinderhaus are already familiar with the Montessori environment and approach, which often makes the transition smoother. The registration process for the Primary School follows the same steps as for any other family – we recommend getting in touch well ahead of the desired start date so we can plan the transition together.
What does tuition cost?
Tuition for the Primary School starts from CHF 2195 per month. A one-time enrollment fee is also due when the school contract is signed. We are happy to go over the details in a personal conversation.
What happens after grade 6?
Throughout the primary school years, we individually prepare your child – cognitively, socially and emotionally – for the transition into secondary school, whichever path they choose.
Is the school a good fit for international and multilingual families?
Yes – our website and communication are available in German and English, and we welcome inquiries from international and multilingual families. Feel free to ask about the right support for your child during a visit.
How can I schedule a visit?
Simply reach out via our contact form, by phone (+41 41 761 32 46) or email (info@measemitamontessori.com). We are happy to invite you and your child for a no-obligation visit to experience our school, our team, and Montessori education in practice. Schedule a visit
